Arsenal 4 - Spurs 4

Arrgghhh... what a game last nite. I just couldnt believe we drew it. I was so confident I even took my eyes of telly for a few brief moments.

About the game, Bentley started with a ridiculous shot that fooled Almunia. During the game I had a feeling Almunia was having on OFF day today, hence other goals followed. Then from a corner, Silverster has begun warming himself to Arsenal fans by scoring against Sperms. 1-1 at halftime gives me hope for winning this now.

Immediately after restart, Capitan Gallas banishes his smoky days by scoring a header from VanPersie's freekick. During the following period, I dont see Spurs ever scoring again in this game. When Nasri flicked the ball over keeper for Adebayor to buldoze it in, I thought game over. I was wrong. Bent pulled one back after Almunia couldnt save Huddlestones grounder cleanly. A minute later, Van Persie got his 50th Arsenal goal after a mistake from a Sperms defender (someone) giving the ball to Adebayor.

Then at last 5 minutes, all hell broke loose. Clichy slipped and Jenas got the ball, ran to penalty box and curled a goal. My question is, why no one stopped him! Someone from midfield or centerback should come out and body check him. Damn. And of course we have to repeat same mistake by letting Modric getting another free shot in front of penalty box. DAMNIT!

I agree that attacking is best form of defense, and I never understood why Henry & Pires likes to keep the ball at opponents corner box during last minutes. Now I understand why.

It is frustrating, and now it seems we look more backward than we were a season ago. It began to hit me that missing Flamini has started to look really bad. Denilson just doesnt fit in the middle, because he is Cesc's clone! Wenger needs to note this otherwise every midfielder now knows a shot can be taken directly outside the penalty box.

The bright point is Van Persie has started showing his Berkampseque style in this game, creating & scoring. I'm no.1 fan of the former dutch master, and his clone looks just as good with an even deadlier left leg.

Well we're only 6 pts behind, and havent played any top 3 yet. We just gotta win against top 3, then we are champions. Is that easy :O

Ajax 2 - Arsenal 3

Wow what a game & scoreline. I didnt really get to watch it in full, just bits & pieces. We started with an almost full side, Almunia, Toure, Gallas (C), Clichy, Sagna, Eboueoue, Denilson, Fabregas, Walcott, Van Persie & Adebayour. Welcome back Cesc & Toure. You guys gotta check out Toure's new hairdo.

You can check the full detailed commented game at Arsenal.com. From my bits & pieces, Arsenal play the normal passing & attacking game. Ajax were at the backfoot most of the time. Walcott was really dangerous at times, he's movement reminded me of a certain No.14. That being said, the dutch scored 2 goals in 2 minutes (i missed this). I know Hunterlaar scored one. Both goals look unstoppable, but I havent seen real replays yet. It finished 2-0 at halftime. I thought at 2-0 its impossible to catch the dutch.

I only get to watch the last 10 minuts of 2nd half, and it was 2-2 then. Horay!!
Then a good teamwork between Denilson & Adebayour at edge of box finished the game at 83rd minute.

It was a thrilling game, compared to certain Moaninho's predictable 0-0 draw earlier. I hope Arsenal will do the same against another dutch team on Wednesday :)

My 1st Blog

Hello, today is my very first blog. Being an Arsenal FC supporter and originating from Asia, I figure this would be a great way to start. I'll begin with a preview of Ajax Tourney later.

I recommend arsenal.com, arseblog.com & aculturedleftfoot.wordpress.com for your viewing pleasure.
